A Survey of Psychosocial Risk Identification, Assessment and Management in Primary Care.

This project was supported by a Summer Studentship Grant from Waikato Clinical School, University of Auckland.

Timeline: November 2009 - February 2010.

This study aimed to survey and interview primary care practitioners (GPs and Practice Nurses) to gain a rich understanding of the magnitude of psychosocial risks these health professionals are required to identify, assess and manage in their day to day practice, with a particular focus on how suicide risk is recognized and responded to.
